Arts and Humanities
Our mission is to create an environment on Bainbridge Island in which the arts and humanities flourish. BIAHC advocates for funding, both public and private, for local arts and humanities organizations. We also produce our own community programming and support a wide range of local cultural activities.

The Bainbridge Island Historical Museum collects, preserves and interprets Bainbridge’s colorful history, produces oral histories and videos, sponsors programs about Island history and operates a historical museum containing exhibits and a research library.

Bainbridge Arts and Crafts, a nonprofit organization founded in 1948, exhibits and sells the art of local and regional artists, supports art education in the schools and provides art education to the wider community.

The Bainbridge Chorale provides an opportunity for both singers and audiences to enjoy fine chorale music, professionally performed and presented. The Chorale also serves children in grades 1-8 through our Young Singers program.

Kids in Concert is an after school music program for children. With a foundation in improvisational play, our curriculum ignites creativity, dynamic social engagement, and expertise in choir, orchestral instruments and performance experience.
