Friends of Bainbridge Island High School Sailing

Friends of Bainbridge Island High School Sailing is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization that provides logistical and financial support to the High School Sailing Team and fosters youth sailing on Bainbridge Island in partnership with the Parks & Recreation District. Your contribution will be applied to the purchase and maintenance of competition sailboats and associated equipment for the Sailing Team and Parks & Recreation District youth sailing programs. 

Parks & Recreation District programs teach youth introductory and advanced sailing and seamanship skills. Their programs prepare young sailors for the Sailing Team. BHS sailors, in turn, are often employed by the Parks & Recreation District as instructors teaching the next generation of sailors. We operate under the philosophy that every Team member is important to the Team’s success and is an asset to the Team’s efforts toward excellence in seamanship and good character.
