ReUse Depot

The ReUse Depot works to make reusable goods more accessible, encourage sharing and repair, and reduce waste and consumerism through local exchange and education. By keeping resources circulating within our community, we build local resilience, support local artisans, and foster a more sustainable, connected, and inclusive Bainbridge Island.

It is a community hub for reuse-recycle-repair programs offering a library of things, repair-reuse workshops, material exchanges, and resource and recycling solutions, all under one roof. 

The three main programs consist of:

• A Library of Things: A membership-based lending library of shared goods such as tools, recreational equipment, toys, entertaining supplies, and other household goods.

• A ReMaker Space: A hands-on workshop for all ages to reuse, create, and conserve resources; offering workshops, speakers, swaps, fix-it/repair events, and textile repairs to educate the community on sustainable material choices.

• A Materials Exchange: A community bulletin board and redistribution area to promote recycling and reuse opportunities, including a safe place to swap.
